Ken, another question I forgot, so you don't think getting the 150 or using the 90 is the answer. The only problem is I'm shooting at f/32 and I have a shot of a guy 1/2 body profile and his right...

Ken, another question I forgot, so you don't think getting the 150 or using the 90 is the answer. The only problem is I'm shooting at f/32 and I have a shot of a guy 1/2 body profile and his right...
Thanks Ken, nice shot of the father/ son. But question: what if the father was sitting on the ground and the son was sitting right in front of him, and you are pointing a bit downwards. If you...
David, thanks.
The subject distance is about 5-6 feet. That said is some shots it seem the eyes are in focus but the arm is out, the arm being only 8 inches or a foot away.
Ken, I used the 90mm...
Thanks Bill, I'm not a big fan of thread responses that send me to long, complex articles. Is there a point or two there I should look for?
Vinny: I never learned tilt/ swing. I assume the tilt/...
I have a simple people fine art project. I'm shooting people seated in the studio against a white backdrop with a Sinar 4x5 and a 210 lens.
I was getting one part of their body in focus and the...
I have Fuji back, not working Vertically.
thanks Darin, I think I have P, maybe F, but I surmise it's same issue.
This is fine art, no client, so I can just do horizontals. As it is not true 4x5 instant film now anyway! Thanks for...
Randy, thanks you sold the Sinar because of this, and Darin, you sold the Holder or the Sinar?
I can't sell my Sinar, too invested it. I'd probably just bail on doing Vertical instant previews.

The holder points downs and hits the tripod so there is no way to get the slider out.
Has anyone been able to use instant film on veritcal shots? I could take photos on next shoot. will make note.
I had my Sinar 4x5 set to vertical, but it did not seem then I was able to use the Fuji holder and the slider was blocked by the camera. Is this possible to do? thanks.

Thanks, yeah software update does not offer the new "Epson Scan", which I'm very used to and have many settings with. Then on Epson site, it says the new version is just not ready yet.
It's amazing that a major company would not be ahead of the curve on updating it's Apple drivers?
Excellent, thanks L, so BW/ color, all ok in freezer. Now freezer will extend life how much more than refrigerator? And now I guess you don't even really need either until the expiration date is...
I did not know it's ok to freeze film.
Jim, H, Daniel, thanks great info.
I should just keep everything (including Fuji instant film) in my fridge correct? Honestly I would prefer keeping it in on of my closets, and the 4x5 boxes...
Thanks Ari, don't know how I missed it. For BW or Color, how much after the expiration would you say it's still safe to shoot? Same question for my color transparency I still have 100
Just received boxes of 4x5, TMY 400 and Portra 400 from BH. Can't find expiration dates, are they there? thanks.
THANKS, shooting people, and unfortunately people with grain does blow up as cool as landscape does, but this is good info.. thanks.
Poly, for color I've only used Fuji RDP 100 and it came out great.
tmy2 is tri x 400?, what is 7x 8 enlargement in inches? What about Tmax 100 vs Tmax 400?
Hp5 is Ilford? so don't not blow up...
I just shot some Tmax 100 BW, full body portraits in a small studio, f/11 or f/16. My power pack is currently 400 watts.
Too much stuff out of focus.
I'm wondering if any of you have shot...
Tried that lim, did not work for me, a video would probably do the trick, text does not seem to fly.
Got help from Jim via phone, problem solved, I know know how to remove the back.
ONE thing I still wanted / need help on is how to remove the full contraption and flip that back to vertical....
Here are some more images, thanks!

Jack, thanks, I'm a newbie, this is Sinar btw. Don't know even what Graflock bars refer to and where to push, so unless you can make a quick video, maybe I can PM you?

I've tried everything I can think of to get it back to vertical but am...
Otto: Rod thanks. Don't think it's the software, as I can see the blockage with my own eyes from the Epson holder.
Never done this with glass, so I'll contact that company and see what happens and...
Rod/ Pasisty, don't think you understand what's going on but thanks.
Otto/Fred, I think you guys understand what's happening here
Yes, I have an assistant doing the camera work and will point...
DOUG, thanks, I did the crop just as you write, but like I said, I''m seeing the feet cut off even before that. It seems that I lose the top of the feet because the 1/16" plastic holder/ ridge that...
I just scanned some 4x5 film and the person's feet is clear, the feet are all there, not cut off, but the scanner seems to cut the bottom of the feet off because the film sits on a ridge about 1/8 of...
Kerosine? joking. the liquid for heating?
thanks Ari/ Bob, others — I use ammonia mixed with water, which is basically like Windex and a paper towel. Is Day Glass cleaner or anything else that much different? I know with my Mac monitor I'm...
I cannot get a crystal clear look to the glass. Tried iclean, ammonia-water (like windex), any ideas? thanks.
THANKS guys, nice.
thanks guys, did speak to Bob, nice guy, pity out of US, postage etc...
I meant printers, people who print for artists, not the machines.
I got some great scanner recommendations for scanning. If anyone has some great printers for large fine art prints, please let me know here or offline, thanks.
Mine does to, but save at is grey out, no? and it stay like that even after you make new setting.
