I had the same problem on mine. After cleaning it was fine. Rotate the back 45 degrees to reveal the four screws. These hold in place 4 pieces of metal. Take them out and you can lift the back off....

With my Beseler 45 enlarger came a Rodenstock 150mm 4.5 lens. I have to make my own lensboard for this lens, which is no problem, but after that I will have to mount the lens in the lensboard....
Thanks a lot for that drawing! It helped me put everything in the right order. Everything was indeed upside down.
Last question for now:
I think the negative carrier should still go a bit...
Ok, I am one step closer to a solution.
I took the lenses out of the condensor and I think it wasn't assembled correctly. From top to bottom it had:
- top condensor lens
- large aluminium...
I have it cranked all the way up until it won't go any further... It it ok that I can still see a part of the upper bellows? It's only in the back that the neg carrier holder and the condensor holder...
