Any update on this K25 ?
Transparencies are a drug, 4x5 especially. I love the feeling of looking at a tranny on my light table. Now that I'll have to use my Jobo for E6, as all the labs are stopping, I'm going to use up...
Thanks Bob, I shall take a closer look and possibly post some images ...
The ones I'm referring to are all Linhof badged. I know that the Wista, Toyo and Nikon ones usually don't have the off centre holes amongst other things.
I'm interested in Linhof boards :)
Like many, I have standardized on Linhof Technika lens boards.
My Canham Traditional front standard takes them, my Technikardan 45s takes them and I have a Sinar to Linhof adapter created by SK...
Rob emailed me this morning, he told me that any camera store who deal with the distributor Amplis can get Ilford film and paper.
I looked at the Photosource web page, found 4x5, but no 5x7 or...
B & H have excellent shipping to Canada via Purolater.
My local Henry's here in Sudbury, Ontario told me they couldn't get 4x5 film today.
I know about B&H but hoped there was another source other than Rob. I may have to persuade him to do a once a...
Now that Rob Skeoch appears to be closing his retail store, where in Canada can I buy sheet film (4x5,5x7 and 8x10) and paper ?
Thanks,
Ron
I'd be happy with Type 54 4x5 readyload ... Down to my last18 :-(
I believe Jeff is Justin's brother ....
The Sapele version looks gorgeous !
Hoff, both of your portraits are gorgeous ...
Assuming this is your daughter and her partner, I can see the fear in his eyes :-)
That's a shame ...
bugger won't be going down until April ... looks like a great exhibition ...
I wonder if a polariod 545i will fit it ???
Welcome, from an ex-Southern Ontarian, now living in Sudbury, ON.
Sweet ... thanks ...
Sully, that's a lovely image.
btw, how did you achieve the tone ? Was it film/scan only or toning ?
The only thing you need to be able to do is make someone comfortable in front of the camera. Speak calmly to them, be warm and friendly, let them relax.
I remember making some portraits of my...
ordered ...
If I were you I would try and get a Sinar, maybe an F1 or F2.
Especially if you may be doing architecture. It won't be good for field photography as much but it'll teach you real fast how to...
Your nudes series is simply stunning ...
So the only reason to keep those Polaroid 545 holders is finally gone too ... geez louise ...
C'mon people, let's remember one thing, the price !!
The fact that this camera is being sold on by people moving on to Ebony's is quite a feat !
IIRC my wife's 45N cost me $650 ? So she...
OMG we have a cat just like this one, his name is "Burn", his sister's name is "Dodge".
Not LF, Fuji S5 images.
Thanks for the many responses guys ...
I already have all of the gear ... I purchased an 5x7 reduction back for my Phillips about three months before a very nice Canham 5x7 with a 4x5 back came...
Should I sell my other LF cameras just to help me concentrate on 5x7 work ?
I love 5x7 contact prints ...
I did get my 8x10 gear before I fell in love with 5x7 ... I suppose I could keep the...
This exhibit is at the Art Gallery of Ontario for those who don't know already. The wife and I enjoyed the exhibit yesterday along with the ho-hum King Tut exhibit.
How do you even defeat the bidirectional mode ?
Is there a motor position or lever somewhere ?
Many people have them machined ... mine was made by our friends at SK Grimes, but on one of their own Sinar type boards.
A few years ago they machines a Wisner adapter for me, making it from a...
It used to ... when I get a few spare bucks I'll have to send it for service ... then sell the bugger !!
I wish I'd never bought the bloody thing, it was expensive and was always sticky and never locked down. A serious waste of money.
The FOBA was much cheaper and locked down when you wanted it.

If you have five to five-thousand images to process, LR is the best. From that batch you can further refine some with PS.
If you have two images which need lots of work, just go straight in to PS.
Another vote for the Harrison, I have the middle one which I use to load 5x7 film holders and even unloading them and loading them into Jobo Expert 3006 tanks !
Bigcameraworkshops is not a store front, it's more like a photo studio.
Send Rob Skeoch (the proprietor) an email or call him, he'll tell you if he has the stuff you're looking for.
Burlington...
I explored getting one, but they were basically made for the collodion guys doing civil war re-enactments. They were in the hundreds of dollars range.
I would make one up myself if I felt I...
TK45S is easy to fold, you just have to move both standards at the sametime to minimize the stress on the bellows.
The Canham 5x7 wood took me longer to figure out how to close properly.
If I...
