Re: Shelf Life - Rodinal & Other Chemicals

Guys a tip from the UK! I use wine bottle vacuum stoppers. My logic is that by removing the air and having a vacuum inside the bottle must prolong life. It seems to work!

    Re: Oxygen removal

I did ask a while ago if a vacuum was effective. I have been using those vacuum pumps and stoppers for wine bottles, but have no idea what vacuum is achieved or the reduction of oxygen.

Re: Drying Fiber papper without curling

I purchased secondhand dry mount press from Ebay, works fine, but others on here suggest use of glassine sheet envelops to protect print while pressing.

Re: New Film: ADOX CHS 100 II

Now I am confused. Is this 'new' product a new Adox film or not? Which way round is it and who makes what? Could this II just be a badged Agfa film? Or did Adox make Agfa?

Re: My Jobo tank tried to kill me

Guys, water is not compressible. You are supposed to fill the tank before pumping it up then there is no explosive force.

Re: Yousuf Karsh... I never knew

Does anyone know what combination of camera, film etc. were used by Karsh?

I often look at these old masters and think how did they do that, especially of the great film studio photographers.
