Thanks for all the info. I'll get it on a lens board this weekend and give it a try.

I have just received this lens along with a Thornton Pickard shutter, and I'm not familiar with it's design. The lens appears to be a single Plano-convex lens at the rear, and just a black disk at...

Would like to join you but I'm already going to Glencoe, Skye and Uist in April. Definitely next time.

Don't forget that most rental companies explicitly ban the use of chains on their vehicles, which would invalidate your insurance.

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me what size tap you use to thread the release bar for a modern cable release, and I assume that removing the screw holding the release bar in place doesn't do...

Having looked at it more last night, I now believe the second markings are the aperture diameter. I wonder if this lens was designed as a process lens.
Does anyone know if Ental II were used as...
I have just received a selection of enlarger lenses that I want to mount to my Omega D5 enlarger, but all the lenses are mounted into threaded DeVere lens boards so don't have any separate locking...
I have just acquired a 3 1/2 inch f4 and a 6 inch f4.5 Ental II pair of lenses, but the aperture settings confuse me and I hope someone can explain them to me.
The 3.5" f4 has these aperture...
I've already pledged.

I ordered from amazon.co.UK but don't think they got any copies. Looks like I am waiting for the reprint.

I have a 6" x15" camera that I lay the film into the recess then lay sheet of black dibond over it to the thickness of the original glass plates. Dibond is both stiff and light.

And to make it even more odd....compur 2 shutters come in a variety of sizes so you can't even swap retaining rings

Have you tried giving it an extra stop of exposure and cutting your development time by 15-20%

Welcome from Yorkshire. Where in the north are you?
If you have already purchased it on eBay then you aren't going to inspect and decide if you want it. You have already entered into a legal binding deal to purchase.
You should be very pleased with that.
Thanks
What are YARTS?
Without you telling us what your photographic interest are, your experience and even your fitness levels as lf cameras can be heavy, we can't really offer any useful advice.
Where are you in the UK. Someone local may have a camera for you to look at that may help you with your design, pr be able to show you the coverage of your lenses on their ground glass
Does it do the same with the Epson software?
Are they advertising at the moment because I couldn't find them
If you print to maximum black (blue) then the clear rebate should print out the same colour as the area outside the negative.
Thanks everyone for the answers
