Superb, Steven.
This is on 4x5, right? I'm thinking I'd like to see a little more sky if you have it. There seems to be more color in the sky that could be included.
Yes, 4x5. I will post up one with more sky. Thank you.
Here is the uncropped version. Not much in the sky and a little bit of work to expand crop. I may do that as the more I look at it, it seems a bit cramped on composition. Feels like it needs a bit of breathing room. And maybe a bit of right rotation to straighten out the horizon. Seems a bit high on the right side.
Lovely image!!
Years ago, I lived across the street from farmland and would be awaken sometimes by water shooters at 0400, especially when the temps dropped.
Always enjoyed watching the Zimmatics (similar to what you have photographed above) crawl across the landscape.
Kind regards,
Darr
Thanks Steven. I see what you mean. What a weird sky; the color just disappears on the left side....reminds me of a couple of my shots where what's going on in the sky and on the ground just seem to be fighting each other for attention instead of working together.... In your case, the intense yellow seems (to me) to be fighting the low light in the canyon recesses.
