I agree with the above, but to answer your question, there is too much magenta. Add green to counteract. If you are going to do this kind of thing, you need to get a good book and study color relationships.
Apologies here, this has happened before here i linked that image to a filehost i thought was ok - the problem is my everyday browser is firefox with adblock and noscript i don't see those crappy ads they are auto blocked.
I just checked that link / small gallery i posted with an Opera browser and sure enough - it's not a good file host.
Thanks for not banning me again too

Why are you posting links to other peoples' work?
This site is for your own work. If you have none, then don't post.

I appreciate the comment, Frank, as this image has been eliciting polite quietness. I have to say I do like it as a portrait, although I myself can't say it is beautiful. Ed

I have to say Life in Sepia, I have seen many, many images in this thread that I have enjoyed, some of which I have even come back to look several times. But this was the first that set me back and made me look twice. I seriously doubt that this would ever go on my wall, but it certainly caught my attention. Everything about the shadowing, the vignetting and the positioning screams traditional, until you actually look.
Thank you for waking me up.
