through a glass darkly...
hi ed
why don't you just expose your stealth-film
at iso 100, and process it in your caffenol.
the film may be 10 years old, or a month old
you'll never have it again, and you'll never know what it is.
tests for mystery film will just end up using up the film as ... tests.
you could always take all the film out of your holders in room light, cut them into 1" squares
and use them to test your fixer ... 7 sheets makes a lot of clip tests ...
clip tests are useful iso tests no so useful.
After all the messing around and processing the film all I can say for sure is it is not print film, either colour or b&w.
From the notch code it would appear to be Fuji Velvia Pro RVP50. I might expose 1 sheet and take it into Spectrum for processing see what comes out.
If so, then have they not been exposed already?? If it were me, I'd chuck them and load up with your own film.they were all sent dark side showing of the Dark Slide

Apparently not everyone follows the normal convention of white out unexposed and black out exposed.
I don't think that exposing one frame and having it processed by the local pro lab if going to be too much effort, if it turns out that the film has not been exposed and are viable then I would have 11 sheets of Transparency film that curently cost £3.60 (5$) a sheet, seems somewhat worth the effort to me. It is not like I need to use the Film Holders urgently as I have another 20 or so which can be loaded up with my 3 types of B&W film as required.
Well then, I'd drop a sheet in B/W developer and see what happens.
How's Plymouth, by the way? I was there for a month back in summer, 2000. Loved the place. Almost got run over trying to cross that ring road that goes around the bombed out church...can't remember the name. Love Bodwin Moor and those cool Tors, too. Awesome!

Tried that today, didn't work with Caffenol, just came out a slightly different colour than it went in (suspect the removal of the anti-halation dye caused this).
Charles Church You could have used the subway system, fair bit safer.
Bodmin Moor, and you would have had to grow an extra finger and had a single full width eyebrow to fit in down there.
There's a little song that's apt for the Bodmin Moor (and Redruth & Cambourne) (to the tune of the Adams family:
Your Father is your Brother
Your Sister is your Mother
you're all ******* each other
The Cornish Family Don't mean it really, there's some lovely people in Cornwall (usually moved down from up-north)
Ya, I was wondering if there was a bit of in breading going on there... That tune is too funny!
It must have been a Cornish joke then, not telling me about the subway and making me dart traffic with all my gear!
