Does anyone know of a LF workshop in Southern California?
How about San Francisco? I am doing one at the Calumet store in mid November.

Per Volquartz does workshops in So. Cal (specifically Joshua Tree). Check out his website for details.
Where in SoCal do you live? There are many teachers all around Cal that can teach you. Let us know where you are and we'll help you find someone to help you.
James,
I live in the Santa Clarita/Valencia area.
Charles P. Farmer operates out of Santa Barbara. I have met him and read some good things about his workshops. Check out his website at http://www.charlespfarmer-photo.com. I know he gives one on one workshops, because I met him while he was giving one. I just ambled up to the two large format photographers I saw in front of the Santa Barbara courthouse and struck up a conversation. When I found out a workshop was in progress, I excused myself and hightailed it out of there!
Mark, since you are this close, call Calumet in LA or Freestyle and ask them for some suggestions. Also Sammy's Camera would be a very good bet. I'll have to go home and look up the number of a guy in Pasadena who teaches LF and is very helpful. Can't think of his name right off the top of my head. I'll be back tomorrow. Also Per Volquartz is doing a wonderful workshop in Nov in Zion Canyon in Utah and it's free. It's the best deal around. Very informative and worth the cost. It's free except for your motel or campsite. Look at the thread here. I've been to some of them and had a ball. Talk with you tomorrow.
Ok. The guys name is Phil Bard and I recommend him. Call info and ask for Phil Bard. Or look it up on net. Great guy.
Mark. It's philbard.com
Phil Bard has moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon. His workshops are aimed at digital processes. Go to http://philbard.com/ to see his current offerings.
