Pixies in the woods down by the river in the big valley under the peaks called the Three Brothers.
The three brothers in the woods are around 13 years old at the time of the image was made. I know it is a stretch to call three all-knees-and-elbows, growing-like-reeds, fuzz-on-the-lips teenage boys pixies...and I know they would not appreciate it. But I can remember them in the Neonatal ICU at the hospital -- they weighed 2.5 pound apiece and I could not tell what weighed more the baby or the blanket. I slid my wedding ring over Calder's hand and he wore it as a bracelet. Pixies...

8x10, 300mm. etc...A one minute exposure.
This one is a platinum print. I have another negative I gave twice the exposure and more development for use in making carbon prints (looks great). So the boys had to hold still for two minutes for that one.
I wish I knew what a pixie is....
