June 2011 Portraits

This is my first image post and my first ever large format image. I took it for my studio lighting class this semester. I was going for a film noir look.

I shot it with my Calumet 4x5 monorail, Ilford Delta 100, and I think the aperture was wide open.

Certainly, all is very simple!
1 big flash + umbrella
1 reflector sideways
One small flash behind.
And good flashmeter.
Almost classics!

Taken with Sinar F1 + Zeiss Tessar 1c 250mm f4,5 wide open, scanned from neg and some toning with LR

What? You mean the snows already gone? Or did you take this last august Beautiful shot. The delineation (thank goodness for spellcheck) at the top of that dog's head is remarkable.
