Why thank you. This is in a structure behind a concrete pond at the top of a spillway. It's very near to where I grew up. I climbed up the spillway once about 25 years ago but never thought much about it until recently when I went back up to see if it had been found and modified by street artists. I didn't find much graffiti but I did find some unexpected optical effects. Here's one more:
I don't find scanning color neg to be problematic at all. Maybe getting it right directly out of the scanner is hard but I scan uncorrected and adjust afterwards. The current negative films are so linear across almost the entirety of their characteristic curves that this is usually very simple. In fact I have much greater difficulty with transparencies, the transition to deepest shadows in particular because at some point black shifts away from neutral.
Wonderful photos Edwin. The cyclops/lens-like hole in the the silhouette image is a nice touch.
