Lost Creek - nice, tranquil greenbelt in town. Delta 100 - my first time shooting with it and it is fantastic!

The North Beach trees.
Photographed on Ilford HP5+, exposed at 250 ASA, film developed in PMK (Pyro) for 12 minutes (1:2:100 at 21C).
Exposure was 50 seconds at f32.
Camera: 8x10 Intrepid with the 300 Industar-37 lens (barrel, no shutter)
Thank you Franswa. (François?)
Well, the truth is that I use my non-shuttered lenses only when the conditions allow for ease of use. Meaning, they are best used in low light conditions where I can make looong exposures (more than 5 seconds) and that allows me to just pull the lens cap off, count to X and pop it back on. In this case, the exposure was 50 seconds, so it was dead easy to make an exposure that way. The f4.5 Industar-37 lens is a USSR-made Tessar design, and I believe mine was made by KMZ (Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant). These are very inexpensive lenses (approximately $150 USD for a good copy) and surprisingly capable — very sharp and good contrast. I once compared it with my 300mm f4.5 Ektar and the Industar-37 was only very slightly prone to flare, but otherwise performed similarly.
I do have a large Packard shutter I can use on some of the lenses if I really need to, but I tend to avoid using shutterless lenses in bright light because it gets tricky.
