Exhibition - where to place prices and other info

Yesterday (friday) I have put my work on the wall in the exhibition place. It's my first exhibition.

The opening is this monday and I noticed I did something wrong with the associated cards, also the people where it's going to take place give me some advice to put the place where the image was taken also somewhere on a card. Apparently they get a lot of those questions.

Now as I don't have any experience with this kind of stuff I'm asking here for some help.

I have a small card (business card size) that has:
    - QR code to buy
    - image name
    - print type (only Platinum prints)
    - paper type
    - print size (only 2 sizes)
    - price
    - place where it's taken.

It's not sure I can put something on the wall.

Should everything on the same card, price and place separate ?
What is a good place to display this information ? if I may not place this directly on the wall.

    Thanks
    Patrick

Re: Exhibition - where to place prices and other info

All the galleries and exhibitions I have been associated with use card-size labels that are placed beside or below the print with all pertinent information. This includes:

    Photographer's name
    Gallery name (when applicable)
    Print title and date
    Location (optional)
    Price
    Medium

Optional info would be things like gallery or photographer's website/email, QR code link, etc. Things like print size, mat size, etc. are only needed for online listings; people visiting an exhibition can see all that firsthand. If you have other sizes available, then you could make a line like, "other sizes available: 11x14, 16x20," or the like. Location is always on all my prints, but it's part of the print title. For much work, location is not important.

If you have an artist's statement for the exhibition, then your bio, website information, QR code links, etc. can go there once, so you don't need to put it on every label.

    Hope this helps,

    Doremus

This is a current show of mine in a local library. My shoestring budget led me to solve the issues this way.

The first "plaque" -- printout adhered to a mount board with double-sided cellophane tape, with a sheet of self-adhesive plastic over top -- has the exhibit title, a paragraph defining it, and section about the photos being made on film with a view camera. The second plaque is a photographer's statement about the project.
Below those is my contact info. The small cards, similarly made, under the photos are little histories of the farms and families photographed (all historic).

whenever I walk into a gallery, the first thing I do is look for a check list. A few printed pages in a cheap folder with all the works listed, with all pertinent information in a simple binder/folder.

I just did something like this for a show in my local library. FWIW I used an 8-1/2x11 (standard US letter size) "Itoya Art ProFolio" from Archival Methods. It makes for a nice presentation, though it has more pages than I needed.

Some people want to see more technical details as well: Exposure, camera, lens, filtration, special technique, etc., etc.

Business cards are just too small.

On the wall with appropriate painters tape or museum putty if they insist, or if NO placards allowed on wall, I've slid them into the corner of the frame between the glass and frame. Admittedly it's a bit tackier this way, so barring that, attached to backside of print is last resort.

I guess a print list / binder if that works but disallowing anything on the wall, including tape designed to not hurt the paint, is a little silly.

I visit a lot of galleries. I have never seen technical data beyond the type of print, or if any special techniques like hand-coloring or toning have been done.

I guess it depends on the type of gallery. The photo only galleries I've been to have had it, but of course, it varies -- some show almost nothing, other than a small explanation sheet at the entrance -- that no one even notices.
