Will 4.7x6.5 film fit 5x7 film holders?

This piggy backs on my previous thread re Ilford Ortho+ film
B and H has Ilford Ortho + in 4x5, 4.7x6.5, and 8x10, but no 5x7 is listed.
I remember reading that there is a close but no cigar European 5x7-oid size so I'm wondering how this plays with Ilford's sizing?

I have an assortment of US manufactured 5x7 film holders (Lisco, Kodak, Fidelity and Bacos)
Would 4.7x6.5 cut film work in them without grief?

No, 4.75 x 6.5" (half plate film) will not work in 5x7 holders. Perhaps you were thinking of 13x18cm film? The 13x18 film holders are the same external size as 5x7, but the film is different sizes and not interchangeable. I imagine your best bet for getting Ilford Ortho in 5x7 would be to cut down 8x10... Possible but not enjoyable, but at least you can do it under a safe light

From smallest to biggest: 1/2 plate (12x16.5cm/ 4.7x6.5"), 5x7", 13x18cm. 1/2 plate falls out of 13x18cm holders, 13x18 will never go into 1/2 plate (ended up having to trim down in the dark - not difficult if you are sensible about how you mark up a rotatrim). All holders are the same external size.

I looked at buying from the special order window for 1/2 plate O+, but realised that for only a little more I could have twice as much film from cutting down 8x10's that are a stock item

I buy 8x10 O+ and cut it down to 5x7 under deep red safelight.

I have a number of Fidelity Deluxe 5x7 - Half Plate (4¾" x 6½") Film Holders. These have the same external dimensions as regular 5x7 holders, but are sized to accept half plate film.
