Thread: Wet Plate Dry Chemicals Longevity

Re: Wet Plate Dry Chemicals Longevity

I think that not waiting for the poured wet plate to get sticky may well have been the problem. Also, there is a large area of latitude between sunning and boiling, so that is also very useful information. Thanks. How is it with light? Does any part of the process have to be done in complete darkness? And how is it with cleanliness? Does using glass funnels instead of plastic ones have any bearing? Do you boil glass equipment before reusing?

Yes, I took a workshop. And I did exactly what I was taught. And the images came out beautifully. But not for long, so contaminated silver is obviously the culprit.
