I will definitely pay for the bale back. It is super tight on my 8x10 Mk III all black version: painful to insert or retrieve. This is the only annoyance I have with the camera.
Other niggles I can solve myself:
1) Use two screws on the Arca Swiss plate so the camera will not twist or move
2) Added friction tape (textured gaffer tape) to the bed makes the front standard stay put
I don't dare to tighten anything too much, considering the 3D printed parts. But with the above mods it has been quite solid, even with the super tight film holder insersion/retrieval.

Ultimately, this was why I went with the Vist instead of the Mk III. I have a Nikon 360mm f6.5 that sports a Copal #3 shutter and weighs 3 lbs 5 ounces.
I thought the Vist might have a better chance of locking down the front lensboard without crumbling under the torque required to hold such a heavy lens at the proper angle.
It's still a bit worrying; won't know until I get it mounted and see how the camera reacts.

We never have time to do it right, but we always seem to have time to do it again...
The front standard's rise/fall can be locked down no problem, but the tilt seems not possible to totally lock down? It can still be moved a tiny bit. Have anyone tried to improve the center mechanism on the front standard by replacing some parts with Nylon washer for example? I might overlooked some discussion in the last 9 pages.
