If it has a kink (a sharp bend in the wire) there, that can be a problem. I had that happen to one of mine, and did the best I could to straighten it, then used three layers of electrical insulation shrink tubing to stiffen the area. You put the tube over the area, then heat with a heat gun (or maybe hair dryer?) and it shrinks to a tight fit. Here is an example of the stuff I'm talking about: https://www.amazon.com/560PCS-Heat-S...7639427&sr=8-5
working on it now, soldering the net wire to the thread base, at the lens, then using tape that is like thin gaze + instant glue for the top plastic.
the cable is 3,6 foot. and works only for this camera.
some thing like this is very hard to find!!!
thanks...
use solder and good bicycle cable
Tin Can
Yep! soldering woked !!!

"and good bicycle cable " Tin Can, good idea see if I will make one from scratch.
