316
316L (low carbon) is a bit better.
Fiberglass and plastic don't corrode at all. Fiberglass is strong. Used for boat hulls.
Type 316 is usually what's recommended. You should ask someone who knows about w elding how that should be done.
I thought about going for stainless steel, but fiberglass sinks are comparativ ely cheap and there really are no concerns about the areas of weakness of fiberg lass as there are with boat hulls, car bodies etc.
Don`t get worked up over an occaisional stain, a Scotch-Brite sponge will make all well again...
