Usably large exhibit-grade contact prints
Viewing the image on the ground glass of an ULF camera with a bright lens, and seeing how movements and different apertures change the image, is incredibly interesting and fun. B&W direct positives and RA4 reversal process give an "instant" ULF image which is very pleasing.
Seems like a lot of posts asking to explain and justify lately.
And many folks want to berate the answers, especially the old timers who like to gate-keep this whole film/LF thing.
I'll not be answering.
One and all are invited to come by the gallery if you're in north GA and see some ULF silver prints themselves. Most here...don't and won't.
Corran - one of the things I like best about this forum is the advice and guidance from people with decades more experience - and the ability to ignore anything anyone says. What is a link to the gallery? I would like to see your ulf work. I have also started a FB page, "20x24", to celebrate and explore current and historical trends in ulf.....my way of self education.
Because nothing is like a 20x24 negative and a contact print.
