Right here is often the best spot. Japanese sellers can be excellent. Kumar operates in both worlds, and is a good supplier to know about.

What Drew said. Kumar may well be the best asset on this forum - he can search out and source more "stuff" than you can imagine and is an amazing source of all things "large-format." Igor is also very reliable and has been around for a long time... call or eMail him. Over the years I have bought and sold a lot of equipment here on the forum and have never had a bad experience!

Thanks for all input, it’s been very helpful. Looking forward being here a month so I can participate in the classifieds.
Kumar is very good
I like buying from Japan

Agreed, I also have used Camera West, Roberts, Samys and you can call Photocare in New York, I was just in Photocare last month and they had fifty LF lenses and none of them are online, so if you figure out what you are looking for, call Samys, Photo Care and and the mid sized Brick and Mortar stores that don't have the resources to list everything online.

From my own experience KEH and B&H are both reliable and honest in their quality ratings. I have also bought lenses from sellers on this forum, where you can make your own judgment about the seller both from images they may have posted (i.e. their own personal work, not images of the goods being sold) and the seller reviews on this Forum.
I ask a lot of people if they have any photo gear
There is still much hidden
I got a lot from a huge Ohio hoarder after he passed
The family was going to get a dumpster...
I changed their minds
Took 2 days to just get inside the stuffed bedroom, not kidding
The many Leica were inside the piano
My spidey sense told me to look

I have picked up a few lenses on ebay, mainly from Japanese sellers.
