So you have to lie on your stomach to work the focus knobs ?
Not easy
It is on the table on it's back
I will sleep for ideas
Funny at this moment I am listening to the Big Guy at British Museum
His historical conclusions are amazing

Curious about that Beseler 45V-XL 8x10(?) conversion in the back (I think you've mentioned it before)
Yes, a Howard Bond DIY 8X10 Beseler 45V-XL conversion
I bought it from his basement DR a few years ago
1200 miles round trip
Installing it on my wall by myself was an adventure
I mounted the same way MR Bond did, but I have taller ceiling and I placed it higher for bigger prints
I used a boat winch lag bolted near the ceiling winching it into position
Just as Howard did, I set it out from the wall on a sturdy perch which carries all weight. The top is fully 2 way adjustable using wall mount enlarger parts
I can make 40X50 prints...
Howard made a set of nesting wood boxes to adjust for 8X10, all DIY
Came with 1212 Arista Head and GM made stabilizer
Also came with his magic NIKKOR 240
Thank you Howard!

Finally I caught an idea!
I need to clean off my adjustable workbench, it has wheels and adjusts height by crank
This will make installing the 504 way easier and safer
I should buy another adjustable bench, I have clamped 2 benches end to end for hand saw project
I don't use power tools inside, too much dust

Thanks, Randy, for the info on the Howard Bond Beseler 45V-XL 8x10 conversion. Mine came with the wall mount kit which I placed about 22" off the floor. I don't have very high ceilings. The Beseler is medium heavy (not bad, actually) and the base is lag-screwed into 3/4" plywood across 2 wall studs. White light-only LED 8x10 conversion head, necessitating the use of filters, with bookplate style glass negative carrier. I can imagine printing up to 20x24 on occasion (most likely using a print drum) and somewhat larger should be possible, although not practical in my case.
I'm moving things around. I moved my 8x10 Zone VI enlarger, left the lead counterweights in the thing HEAVY. Duh!
