Thanks for that Bob. I reshot the test and got a perfect focus result using one of my 4x5 Graphmatic Holders.
159mm F2 B&L Super Cinephor Focus Test by Nokton48, on Flickr
A better result with 159mm F2 Bausch & Lomb Super Cinephor. I've read that this lens will do 70mm theatre projection as well as 35mm cinema. I like how it renders out of focus areas. A 4x5 SLR with an F2 lens is a lot of fun to use

since its discussed i can also ask this:
Which thread has Heidosmat 200/3.5 tube M73 x 0.75M? or M74? M72 and M75 dont match. 0.75 pitch is correct.
we will make adapters for 200mm. also filteradapter M86 glued into front sunshade tube(fully integrated into lens). M86 slim matches best to be taped directly. or normal one.
adapters for 150/2.8 already exist. 2 versions, one with thread one to be taped(free DL).
Heidosmat 110, 150, 200, 400 and 110-160 here. used on K60.

Daisies in the Rain Front Yard by Nokton48, on Flickr
First test roll of hand spooled 1992 vintage 70mm Kodak 400 Tri-X Professional Unperfed film. Rated at EI 400, extremely dark stormy rainy day on my back deck. Camera was Plaubel Makiflex Standard, lens is Bausch and Lomb Super Cinephor 159.1mm F2.0. A movie theatre projection lens intended for projecting 35mm and 70mm movie film in cinema houses. Film back is Graflex RH-50 18 shots bulk loaded. Film processed in D23 1:1 12 minutes at 74F in single reel Paterson dev tank. RC 8x10 print Arista #2 Matte developed in Multigrade. Omega DII laser aligned 180mm black Rodagon lens. Camera was handheld at the Makiflex Standard's top speed of 1/125. I really like the "look" I am getting with this extremely unusual lens. It's quite a heavy rig so I get a gym workout to boot. I am really diggin' all this 70mm stuff at this point. 18 6x7 exposures fits into two Vue-All 70mm pages when cut into threes.

159mm F2 B&L Super Cinephor Test by Nokton48, on Flickr
Plaubel Makiflex Standard, Bausch & Lomb 159mm F2 Theatrical Cinema Projection Lens, Ilford Commercial Ortho 4x5, Graphmatic 4x5 sheet back. Mic-X developer. 8x10 Arista #2 RC paper, Multigrade dev Omega Dii 180mm black Rodenstock Rodagon, Omegalite circuline head. I focused on the front of the petal in the bottom center; depth of field is as thin as a sheet of paper. Yes the front part of the central daisies are -SHARP- DOF virtually non-existant I like this lens Lotsa fun
B&L 159.1mm F2 Super Cinephor on Maki Std by Nokton48, on Flickr
In bright key sun I can shoot J Lane EI 2 glass negs, at 1/125, which is the top speed of Makiflex Standard. Here a 9x12cm glass plate is loaded, this will be 9x9cm on 9x12cm material. These happen to be Voigtlander plate holders, I have many kinds. Camera mounted and balanced on Manfrotto Monopod, ready to shoot. It's a GOOD workout to carry this beast around. Monopod a necessity I think as I get older. Bokeh and DOF/"look" is amazing. This is a theatrical projection commercial 35mm and 70mm commercial motion picture type. This lens will focus out to about 25 feet, enough for my uses. Intend to do some portraits soon.

Hi Michael! I hope you are well, it's Hassydan from Delphiforum Days. I like your new website. How is it going if I may ask? I still have a Praktisix I body I still shoot with my Zebra CZJ chrome 180mm F2.8 Zeiss Sonnar. What a great bokeh and "look" on 6x9cm Plaubel Makiflex. Only very close-up though on Makis; still worth it
