The only thing i did to this scan is spot removal and maybe a little saturation increase. The light was very good though. I have 10 rolls of Cinestill 50 on order and looking forward to trying that out.

Here's an image made on the newly-released CineStill 400Dynamic, in 35mm. Please view, at full-size. The exif data is in the file, via Meta 35. It seems like it holds the shadow detail fairly well. I suspect I will continue use Portra 400 when I need a 400 speed negative/print film, though. Any thoughts?
Some random thoughts :
It is highly unlikely that outside of a fairly small film using community anybody would look at an (not "the") image and ask "what kind of film this image was taken on?".
The actual medium does not matter in a sense that it is generally not true that images taken on medium X will always be superior to images taken on medium Y, unless the said images were taken for the purpose of comparison of mediums' [physical] properties or advertisement of medium's properties. Usage of IR sensitive films almost want me to make an exception, but in reality it does not [qualify to make such exception]...
"Sinestill this, sinestill that"... What is wrong with using Portra or Ektar or any other color film that was specifically designed for still color photography?
Some people choose to pay more for what appears to be less (no anti-halation layer, sub optimal processing)
Ektar / Portra are wonderful indeed. However, for 10 sheets of Portra 400 in a box, my local dealer in Berlin charges 109.50€. That is 118.72$ approximately as of today, or roundabout 12$ per sheet of 4x5 film. The 8x10 costs 43$ per sheet. They're on sale right now. Normally the price is 45$ per sheet.
Kodak XX 120 D23 1to1 Plaubel Makina Back by Nokton48, on Flickr
First rolls freshly developed Eastman Double-X XX 120 in Plaubel Makina 6.5x9cm Film Back. Plaubel Peco Junior View Camera 150mm F9 Apo Ronar with Broncolor C200 Octobox 150 Lighting. D23 1:1 JOBO Multitank 5 (six roll capacity) Unicolor Uniroller. 12 minutes at 68F. Beefy looking negatives as I am used to with 35mm XX. These will all be easy to print with the usually XX qualities but in the superior larger format. Bravo to the Creator of this! More coming I like this film. Olde 6.5x9cm Plaubel Makina 120 Back is playing nice too Two at F22 and two at F16, to give myself a choice.
