Yeah, we are looking into it.
Rick “may take a few days to fix” Denney
Firefox on LInux warned me about it, but did allow access. I have set the 'HTTPS-only" mode
I set an exception for https://www.largeformatphotography.info in Firefox, so I could continue to access the site in spite of the expired certificate.
My old firefox on winXP shows the error but I can get around that n have access. My android just locks me out. This seems to be a problem with a few other sites as well.
Can anyone expplain more about these certificates? Why we need them and who issues them? Seems to be a silly system, more like glass insurance.. pay up or your windows get broken in the middle of the night.
Certificates let the browser/isp/search engine know a web site is who they say they are. Its like how some delivery companies won’t deliver (in theory) to people standing around in the yard at the delivery address. If you’re not inside the house, you might be squatting for packages.
I maintained / updated a drupal site in my second internship
and where do you get them from? are they free? how do you prove who you are to the issuer?
Same here. According to firefox (on linux) I have to update my clock of the pc. I don't think that NTP works that way At least Firefox let me continue, Vivaldi (my default browser) or the Android one on my phone don't give the option to continue.
Expert in non-working solutions.
I can circumvent the expired certificate in Firefox, but not in Chrome which is my main browser.
Thanks for taking care of it, Rick.
