Proud to post for the first time on this forum. Making progress with my Arca Swiss A 5x7 with 4x5 back, and with tray development of course.

Trestle & local road near Walla Walla, Washington.

Most of the rail lines serving the Columbia Basin wheat country have been abandoned, and the iconic grain elevators and small towns nearby have withered away. A huge part of Eastern Washington has become a scattered collection of ghost towns.

Bont Newydd at Abergwygrgyn [Gwynedd, North Wales] a single barrel-vault bridge at the confluence of Afon Rheadr Fawr and Afon Anafon provides a roadway across the river. The date of construction is unknown, but its existence was marked on the Ordnance Survey map of 1822. The bridge provided a safe crossing for drovers leading animals on a Drovers road up the valley. Large stones in the river under the bridge mark the site of an earlier ford.
Abergwygrgyn (also known as Aber) is the coastal crossing point for the ancient drovers and later Roman road that led across the Lafan Sands to Anglesey.
