    Thanks Heroique.

I'm curious if that's the "Hidden Valley" they're looking down into. Nice Scottish series.[/QUOTE]

Unfortunately not...the trees are looking down into the main Glencoe Valley. The "Hidden Valley" is further up, over my left hand shoulder as I took the image.

Lovely, Paul. My wife and I were lucky to get to Cape Perpetua maybe 15 years ago. A magical place, and your photo captures the magic. Wonderful work.

Paul, that has a wonderful feeling of soft light.

Love this shot, Paul. I have some Bergger Pan in 4X5. Planning to shoot some out in Big Bend NP in the next day or so.

That's very kind of you to say, Bill - thank you. That forest is a remarkable place, yes. I was especially aware of how quiet it is when you get up into the old growth section of the forest. It was almost spooky.

Thanks Peter, I think so too. I get the distinct impression that these subtle values in the upper range are especially well presented when the Pancro 400 is processed in BER49. Last year I used Rodinal exclusively for this film, and now that I've used BER49 for a while, I think I did myself a disservice using the Rodinal :-(

Thanks, Ken! Is this your first time working with the Pancro 400? I would recommend using the Bergger developers with it to get the best from it, or a Pyro developer, if that's your thing. For this film, I think Rodinal is a poor choice; it seems to result in too harsh a rendering.

Remarkable, Jon. Among the best images of this thread, in my view.

    Re: Large Format Landscapes

Went out shooting today with fellow LF users esearing and Kerosene Hat. Shot all of one sheet before the tripod mount decided to strip out on me. Have to fix that now.

Anyway...another try with soft focus. Wehman UL 8x10, 8 3/4 Verito at f/5.6, Fuji HRT x-ray film, Rodinal 1:100 for 4 minutes at 75F:
