This was shot with a Schneider 300mm f/5.6 at f/8 - f/11. The sun was setting and I wanted to make sure to have a reasonably fast shutter speed since I forgot a cable release that day. The other posters were right that I used swing, though it was rear swing since that's a lot easier to use on the Black Beast C1 .
When Landon suggested he sit on the teeter totters I knew pretty much from the start he and the totters were the only things I wanted in focus. There were other movements used as well, a little bit of front fall to get the frame where I wanted it, as well as a little tilt to get Landon and the front of the teeter totter in focus. The combination of swing and tilt is why the out of focus areas are so swirly.
