I wonder if there is a thread for beginners only. I feel a little bit embarrassed to post my FIRST shot taken with a 4x5 camera in the same place with so many pros. I used my Super Speed Graphic with a Schneider Symmar-S 150/5.6 lens. After reading all the "read first" literature posted in this Forum and watching several videos on Youtube, I decided to do my first shot. After I finished the shot, I realized that he camera was out of the tracks and not pointing straight. The result was a wide black band along one of the vertical sides and some other twisting. However, I managed to get something in focus. To add salt to the eyes of the crying baby, my Epson Scanner does not scan more than 2.8 inches width. Anyone knows how to solve this, other than buying a new scanner? . Comments on how to improve are welcome. Thanks. Well, here is the photo and the negative:

pepeguitarra, very nice first image! The focus is spot on. The lighting is interesting also. Let's see more!
Pepe, every "pro" on this forum has a box full of goofs. If any of us have a decent photo to show it is because we learned from our mistakes and from diligent study of our art and craft. Looks to me like you are off to a great start. Keep up the good work.
