Found this pillaged bus near House Rock, Arizona.
Somebody apparently found a use for the engine.
The wheels must have had some value too...

Reinhold - great find. I love photos of old school buses...perhaps because I drive one now.
Perplexed...is this image inverted - the door is on the left side of the bus...?
Randy - If you hold it up to a mirror, you'll see it as it should have been posted...
I claim dyslexia: where the brain has a strong inclination to mirror image whatever it sees.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
ps: I get quite unreliable when I'm unmasked.
Thanks for the tip-off.

Randy...
First things first: I flipped the image so the door is on the correct side.

Next thing: I'd like to apologize for the goofy reply in that last post.
I hope those arcane comments didn't upset you (or anyone else).

Reinhold, its funny how the brain works - now that you inverted the image, I hardly recognize it after seeing it the other way. I mean, it looks like the same bus but shown from a different angle.
The correctly-oriented version of the bus image immediately struck me as being more dynamic. It took me a while to realize it was because I read from left to right. In the correct version, I saw hood off, engine gone, tires gone--and that took me to the back of the bus where the line of the road took my eyes off into the distance. The correctly-oriented version, to me, tells the more vivid story.
