Yeah, you got that right, Scott. I also think you have some extra camera mojo going on with that 5D, 50mm Tak and that chocolate brown toning of yours.

Well the 5D works for me EXCEPT the dynamic range when I need it. I had a friend send me some d810 photos with details in a bright sky with clouds and in the deep shadows. It had me wanting to upgrade but the cost is too steep for me. It's nice to see advancements like that.

Underwater bubbles at the bottom of a small cascade in Amicalola Creek:
And an over/under shot at another small waterfall - also my friend's tripod ended up in the shot out of focus
Both taken with a Nikonos IV and UW 15mm on TMX dev'd in XTOL 1:2
Once the D850 gets into more people's hands the D810/D800e will be very affordable. Many of the pro grade DSLRs of recent years have great improvement in dynamic range. It's something they compete on or atleast endear photographers with since the megapixel race isn't everything.
Thanks. I was figuring that would happen with a new model coming out. I wonder if my super tak lenses could be adapted to nikon. I agree about megapixels. My phone has as many as the 5d... Dynamic range is more important to me than fps or any of the other improvements. Higher iso is nice because I hate flash...

Voigtlander Plate Pocket Watches by rrunnertexas, on Flickr
I cut some film this afternoon for my Voigtlander 6.5x9cm plate film camera. It has a Xenar lens in a Compur shutter that works pretty well. Bellows were at full extension for this shot.
