A nice set of images Bill. i didn't realize the Nikon worked at distance.
Out to Tybee Island by Jay Musselwhite, on Flickr
I saw the island way out get spotlighted by the sun for about 5 seconds, but the clouds were too thin and before I could shoot anything that spotlight effect was gone. It never came back so perfectly - this was the most I could get.
TravelWide w/ 90mm Angulon, Kodak Portra 160VC:
HI. Would you say that that lavender water is accurate color or is there some shift happening with the film or due to the scanning?
I was considering Portra for the ASA speed if it still be found.
Lake water is a bit murky but regardless, it was overexposed, in shadow, and the film is very expired, so you should draw no conclusions from this at all.
BTW, if you want to see an image with much better exposure and not shot as off-the-cuff go look in the urban landscapes thread.
