Interesting that you would switch from 25 EFKE to 400 Foma. I'm surprised at the low contrast (unless this is OLD Arista 400 which was HP5).

It's new Arista 400, but I like it as a budget film developed 1:2:100 in Pyrocat-MC. Seems to bring the best out of it. Efke PL25M is my favorite. I wish someone out there would take up the manufacturer of it...

I don't think its the film that is giving the low contrast, I believe its the lens, my heliar did the same thing with what ever film I used, but the low contrast fits the subject matter I only used mine for portraits and they all looked the same as far as contrast goes. nice work David

These are the first two "tintypes" (Actually the Rockland Parlor kit) that I poured and shot. I'm pretty excited that it worked at all, but I clearly have a lot to learn!

nice results, I think I wasted an entire bottle of that stuff before I finally got something, yours are very nice

Lovely work David. Have you considered Rollei RPX25 in 4x5? I didn't realize it was available until I saw it at Freestyle. I have been testing some out. The base is extremely thin. I doubt it would work in a Mod54.
Will post results if I get anything worth viewing.
