Yes, I got the digital K250 used for a good price. It has several features that are nice such as the lights off button, a timer with shut off and an auto shut off in case the temp goes out of range. It was manufacutred in 1996, but works perfectly. I thought about sending it to Hass to rebuild it, but don't see a reason to. They are made really well and work for a really long time. It also works quite well at low flows with the flow cut down to 30% or so. I found an article on the bulb dimmer to extend the bulb life at:
http://www.trippingthroughthedark.co...om/durst-138s/ which made a lot of sense. I also have an Aristo D-750 dimmer which I think I can use safely. Will review the specs on it. I'm also buying a case of the Sylvania 130v 300 watt bulbs just in case. I'll store them in case I need them in the future. Just something else for the kids to put in the garage sale when I'm gone.........
The plumbing came out really well. This weekend it was cold, so I used regular tap on the cold side at 65 Deg(didn't turn the chiller on), and hot on the hot side. In the summer, I can use chiller on the cold side and tap at well over 70 deg on the hot side. That way, I'm only using a little of the chilled to cool the regular tap. Years ago before I bought the chiller, I developed film and the water got up to over 80 deg and the emulsion reticulated-Ouch! A pricey lesson on 8x10 film.
