    Nice one Dan!

I like how it mostly doesn't appear to be an IR shot, then you start to notice all the trees etc (or I did) like a reveal

Yes, a nice composition; the mix of shapes and tones is seeing in B&W.

    Thanks.

I've been experimenting with making larger prints (16x20) that depend more on fine detail and close tones than dramatic subject matter.

It's more of a necessity this time of year in New England.

Exactly ! The clouds are also different: smaller, lower, more subdued. Soon the snow will arrive and things will become more photogenic again.

Everything outdoor is more subdued this time of year in New England. The use of low contrast and simple scene expresses that. I wouldn't call it un-photogenic, but more difficult to show well.

Nice one Ken. This one has a quiet intensity about it. To me it looks like the trees either side of the main tree are standing back in amazement and the small tree in the front is bowing down as if to say "your majesty". I like this version but have you tried to aspenize a version of it? I squinted at it on screen and it lowered the low values a little and made separated the trees from the wood. It was just an idea. Hp5 and pyrocat certainly work well together.
