Interesting perspective. Makes the city appear forlorn, empty and perhaps unreachable. and all those things may be true.

Empty fortress, no visible life or lights.

    Sadly cool, even cold.

Randy, actually when this is enlarged you see the pinhead size lights through out the city.. If you look to the far left you can see the old Ambassador Bridge crossing the Detroit river.. I hit this spot early before the sun had a chance to break through the clouds behind me. Very gloomy weather kind of just hung there

Ben, I admire your Point Lobos image. Can you tell me what iso, temp and time you used? My HP5+ with pyrocat hd 1;1;100 are pretty flat.
    Thanks for any input.

    Re: Large Format Landscapes

Barry, I recently found a couple boxes of negatives that I exposed 4 years ago and am in the process of developing just now. I do not know for sure but I think I rated the HP5+ at ISO 400. I developed it in Pyrocat HD in Glycol; 1:1:100 at 70 degrees F. for 10 minutes in a JOBO CPP2 at the slowest rotation. I am scanning the negatives with an Eversmart Supreme and adjusting tonality in Photoshop and Silver Effects Pro2. Initially they do appear somewhat flat, but there is wonderful highlight and shadow detail present in the negatives.

Wish I could be more help, but I can't find my notes on the exposures.

    Ben
