Ponderosa Pines, leaning as they often do.

I kept thinking my level or GG was skewed – so I kept looking up to confirm it was the trees, not my camera. The leaning was, of course, what caught my attention in the first place, but I guess I had difficulty accepting it during the composition process. ;^) I also recall maxing out my Tachi’s front rise. Thank you, Mr. Tachi-designer, for giving the camera those nice flexible bellows.

Looks level to me, seriously!

I find my innate sense of level is very accurate. All bubble levels do is slow down a shooter.

I tend to think that this photograph looks natural in its perspective and in its slant. It is very nice. I also tend to think that level is great when you want it to be. But if the image that strikes your fancy involves tilting the camera thirty degrees, then by all means....tilt the thing.

Hi All,
Last week I hiked up to Nevada Falls in Yosemite NP with my Linhof MT and gear. I wanted to capture the falls in full flood - man it was impressive. I wanted to share these images with the forum - I believe I captured the power of falling water. The mist and wind generated from the falls made it a real challenge in getting the image. The posted images are just scans from my negatives - I am going into my darkroom tomorrow to work on printing the two images.
