I have a couple Ilex 7.5" Paragon Anastigmat lenses that came from a Camerz long-roll camera. One has no aperture, and is just wide open at F4.5 in a simple barrel, and the other has a nice iris, with a thread adapter to adapt down to the Ilex lens threads. Note, these are not enlarging lenses-they were set up as a TLR-style system.
I've already checked, and the simple-barrel lens set will directly thread into the Ilex #3 shutters I have, however if I try to snug the front lens cell into the front of the shutter, it bottoms out against the inside of the shutter before the shoulder contacts the front of the shutter threads. The rear cell fits fine.
I suspect that it's just a matter of measuring the barrel length, as both the front and rear lens cells butt the shoulder up against the end of the barrel, and making a spacer to make sure the lens cells are spaced that far apart when installed into the shutter.
On the lens that has the iris in the barrel, it has a thread adapter to a larger size. If I unscrew the adapter, the lens screws straight into the Ilex #3 shutter, however the rear lens cell is stuck in the barrel and I have not made too heroic an attempt to remove it yet.
Anyone else re-mounted any of these Camerz-adapted lenses back into a normal shutter?
