I have read many comments regarding using uncoated lenses. Some people claim go od results with black and white but unsatisfied wwhen shooting color, stating wa shed out low contrast etc.

Q: would one of these older uncoated lenses benefit from a polarizer, possibly a warming filter or color enhancing filters (what exactly is a color enhancing fi lter anyway? do they work?)

I am sure this question has been asked before but I could find no traces of it. Thanks, (my pockets are not as deep as many others on this list. I often shop o ld innexpensive lenses, currently looking for a 240-270 for portraiture)
