    CFV16 30MM BLACK TSTAR DISTAGON EI F11 500CM by Nokton48, on Flickr

This Curved Beauty Reflector arrived months ago, yesterday I took out the pieces, and assembled it! It is lightweight, kind of big, but creates that nice beautiful catchlight in beauty shots. Since I'm getting all my Beauty Reflectors shored up, making this up makes good sense too. Hasselblad 500C/M 30mm black C T* Distagon Fisheye at F11. Broncolor Octobox 150 Supplemental Diffusion, Opus A2 1600J exposure. Good to use the Fishy Lens again. James Bright Background I purchased for $40, money went to charity.

Trimmed some Black Art Board, and attached it to the Flooter front with Manfrotto Black Clips, secured securely by strips of Gaffer Tape both sides. Very adjustable and nicely folds flat in front for storage. You can see the Pulso 4 3000J Head attached, it's got brand new 3000J Tube in it.

Broncolor Ringlight Original Version by Nokton48, on Flickr

Saw this Original Version Broncolor Ringflash, complete with original Camera Mounting Bracket. Notice they show it attached to a Hasselblad EL/M, which is most likely the way I will use it for now. 3200J rated unit, you have to NOT flash it more than 9600J in a minutes time. They also made a Diffuser, and a Macro Attachment for this one. This is not the same one in the current catalog, which takes a lot more different range of accessories. Glad I grabbed this one for $223 landed.

Also grabbed a pair of well-used P65 Pulso Reflectors, these are expensive and sought after. Great deal IMO at $130 each landed. Worth every penny, I already have Broncolor Grids and Broncolor Barndoors for each of these. LOL Sometimes you find the accessories before finding the main unit.

That's one hell of a Ringflash! I was breaking down a set once and found a mosquito hawk had landed on a flash tube that had been operated at 2400WS. The perfectly intact mosquito hawk was ash that disintegrated in the first breeze.

One of my most painful photographic lessons was having a 22B flash bulb go off in my hand when a shutter stuck.

I was all excited there for a moment...saw the Fibrolite in the posted photo and thought you must've joined the club! But the ringflash is almost as interesting! I've got the current version (came with my initial Broncolor lot a couple of years ago), and while I've barely used it, I do love the results it gives. I've got the white-coated softlight reflector (or do they call it the beauty reflector?) and that helps give it a really nice quality of light.

Nice work with the P65 reflectors...I'm still trying to find a deal on a couple of those. I have one with a wobbly mount that I haven't got around to re-riveting yet, but a couple more would be nice to have in the kit.

I recently grabbed a second P45 reflector, in almost mint condition, for the bargain price of 75€ including delivery. Two of those is enough...they're a bit more niche than the P45, and a bit of a pain to store and also to transport safely.

I'm rediscovering this one. PanF+ in D23 is something special.

Original Broncolor Ringlight White Reflector by Nokton48, on Flickr

While data mining for Broncolor Ringlight info, I found this. Anybody have one of these for sale? I'm interested.

Low Key Portrait Tim Kelly portrait lighting by Nokton48, on Flickr

Robert needed a strong "head shot". Low Key Tim Kelly lighting. 4x6 foot Chimera Softbox Broncolor Impact 41 monolight 90 left degrees to the set, lighting everything. A smaller Chimera 3x4 Softbox Impact 41 monolight 45 degrees camera left one stop brighter in closer as a main light. A passive fill panel right, just right out of the frame 4x8 foamcore hinged together. A standard reflector raw hard light camera back left, creating the rimlight from the backline. Dark Grey Muslin behind. A successful head shot low key. 4x5 Sinar Norma, 240mm F9 Norma Apo Ronar gives an almost clinical look. New Godox to Pulso Ceiling Storage works great by Nokton48, on Flickr

Here I've wanted to mount my bigger Pulso Reflectors to the ceiling, Broncolor makes a Pulso Mount, it's quite expensive at $225. I bought three Godox to Pulso Metal/Plastic Adapters $30 each. Mounted to a strip of wood, stores away the bulky heads but keeps them out of the way and at hand. I may make a few more of these to store away some of my other big bulky heads. That's from the left, my Pulso Silver Beauty Light with Honeygrids tight grid. Center is a Broncolor P45 degree with Broncolor Barn Doors. And on the right, an older Broncolor Pulsoflex 60x60 Soft Box. All nicely stored out of the way now.

Thanks Mal Paso. I was offered a FULL CASE of 22b's a couple of days ago, free would have to drive an hour to meet up, so I declined. I built a circuit in the back of the Linhof Books for synching big bulbs, I used to buy Blue Sylvanias by the case. Used them for Interior photography some. Fun to blow off. I once watched an assistant severly burn her hand, they were using a banquet camera ultra large. That scared me.
