Hi Bob, what SN was the -
The last 6x9 Technika III
First 6x9 Technika IV
and did the production dates overlap?
Linhof and the camera dealers of that era (1950's) almost never refer to them as a III or a IV but usually reference them as simply the Super Technika 6x9/23. They were made for around 10 years but so far I have only seem them referenced by III/IV designations only 3 or 4 places...
Hi Bob, I am looking at 3 6x9 Technikas that seem to have a mix of earlier and later parts. Possibly a service upgrade or perhaps these parts were around longer than I thought, I assume they are model III's or the IV was made much earlier than I thought, so I want to check with you.

Thanks Bob.
Those single point back locks were throwing me off as they are generally associated with the IV model. I suppose since these were often well used pro cameras upgrades were not uncommon.
Was the 6x9 IV released in 1957 (like the IV 5x7 & 4x5) or was it earlier?
I assume you mean 1956 for the 6x9 IV, as the 6x9 III began in late 1951.
Makes since as I believe the IV - 5x7 & 4x5 were first shown at the 1956 photokina ahead of the 70th year sales festivities of 1957...
Speaking of anniversaries I think our beloved Master Technika turns the big 5-0 later this year...
