    Lensboard adapter: 110mmx110mm to 5.25”x5.25”

I’d like to share lenses between my Canham MQC57 (110mm square metal) and Wisner 8x10 (5.25” square wood). Has anyone made an adapter with a similar objective? I’m happy to invent the wheel but I can’t imagine this problem hasn’t been solved already.

I did a couple of searches but nothing popped out.

    Alan.

If you can't find anything with that combination currently offered for sale, SK Grimes or Richard Ritter can make you one.

Take a look at Luland on eBay. I think they’re handle is Luland66, but I don’t remember for sure.

toyo probably made adapters like that, very hard to find. Adam &co. at SK Grimes can make something ( or already have )...

Toyo indeed made a bunch of oddball adapters, but AFAIK they were all for metal boards to metal boards. Nothing to wooden field camera boards.

Here's one I built that is 810 Deardorff (6x6" round corners) to a metal Linhof/Toyo board. You have plenty of room -- you are going the right direction from a wooden board to a smaller metal board. Half inch all the way around. This is made from some 9mm plywood. Inset is covered in black flocking paper that makes a tight seal. Pretty basic. A woodworker could make one for you. Start with a blank wooden lensboard. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone. I think Eric nailed it.
I’m a competent woodworker and have access to a machinist shop. I know SK Grimes does fantastic work, but I’m a good Yankee and enjoy making my own tools when appropriate.
