    Bellows extension

Hello, I am looking to move into LF portrait portraiture for the first time. I want to be able to have the camera quite close to the subject, as close as possible, so I was wondering what length of bellows extension I would need in order to do so.

    Thank You

Just do what you did in Barry Lyndon.
    Or...is that you, Frank?

Seriously, could you be a little more specific as to your set-up?

Though it's about bellows exposure factors, this page is a good start. http://www.largeformatphotography.in...ws-factor.html

It depends what lens is on the camera. Bellows extension of double the focal length will get you 1:1 magnification onto film.

    Re: Bellows extension

Here is a short page with several formulae and examples: given different variables, how much bellows extension is required, how close can we get, what magnification can we get, how to de adjust exposure time, how do we adjust f/stop, etc.
