That's pretty much it. I just put the dark slide in a holder and traced the opening onto it with pencil. I cut out half of that, less 3/32" on the edge in the middle of the opening so there's 3/16" margin between frames.

Thanks Scott, I was thinking of trying to find that post or that diagram on my computer. Notice that I leave much more than a 1/2 inch for the light-trap. Leaving more keeps the strength up of the modified darkslide.
The first three are carbon prints, the fourth is a platinum/palladium print
