    Help? Compound shutter question.

I recently picked up a lens from someone on this board (thanks Jeff!) and I have a question. Aperture and shutter speed are obvious but I have no idea how to open it up for focusing? I've tried everything I can think of, but I'm officially stumped. Help?

    Here is the lens:

Move the little switch on the bottom from M to T, and then use the shutter release to open the shutter. When you are done, close the shutter by pressing the release, move the switch to M, cock the shutter, and expose. Do not cock the shutter when the lever is set to T or B.
