    new polaroid 8x10

I have finished using my first two boxes of 8x10 polaroid from the Impossible Project people.
I like the tonality and overall quality of the film but I have had trouble getting even processing.
Frequently they are bars with lighter color density and spots. I keep my processor rollers super
clean so it is not that.

Does anybody have any experience with this film? Could you share?

    Thanks

    Luis

Do you have any examples with exposure and processing data?

Are you using the Polaroid processor or Calumet ? I've got a box as well but haven't shot any yet. Will post here with thoughts when I do get around to it.
notch codes ? I only use one film...

When you look at the rollers, do they look 'true' in that they appear to be touching evenly on each rotation ? They're fairly heavy so seriously doubt they'd lose their round. Wild shot in the dark but could it be the outlet you're plugged into ? Maybe it's getting some kind of interference and affecting the power in ? I'd try the Calumet and see if you can rule out the film as the problem source.

    Good luck.

They don't have the machinery for 4x5, only the 8x10 machine, which is the only reason they have even brought this out.

Here is the link to the New55Project website, as you can see in the Sept. update, they are making progress for us 4x5 types: http://new55project.blogspot.com/
I'm not exactly sure how the folks working on the 4x5 film and the 8x10 film are interconnected, at a minimum they are trying to help each other technically.

I have to say, from the examples I have seen of the impossible project 8x10s, I am not impressed. Or at least the cost of $20 a pop does not justify a novelty with an uncertain reward. That being said, i have not seen any prints in person, and the examples I've seen here and on their site may only be polaroid prints, not silver prints from the negative. Hopefully they will improve the emulsion and coating process over time. Hopefully a rogue industrial chemist or engineer will contribute. And most of all, hopefully if and when more people start buying, the price will come down a little. I would be ok with 15 dollars a sheet.
