Terrific, Sergei!

thank, you. It was last one of set. I would consider this as perfect score - got 6 holders shot (was shooting duplicates of every look, with slightly different settings), and got 6 images out of session (3 looks). Didn't really have to shoot duplicates (as turned out), but i was a bit nervous about new plastic holders i got, so i figured better be safe than sorry.
Fantastic Sergei!

Its natural Radar's rendering (sharp in center, softer on corners, don't ask me on lens design, i am clueless on tech specs), coupled with ye old dark veil over then lens, plus some dodge&burn. So its combination of natural rendering and post.
Jim Galli was original founder of this lens, afaik, then he sold it and after some other hands i got it He has wee write up on it here, on forum.
It is indeed very close to heliar in rendering of sharp-unsharp transitions and in how highlights are handled.

Fantastic look. I had a chance to get a 12" Radar a while back for a little over $200. After this image gets around, I'll never see one at that price again. Oh well. The Radar is designed like a Tessar, except the rear group is a cemented triplet instead of the cemented doublet found in a Tessar. Overall performance is said to be similar to a f4.5 Tessar. Looks like you have a keeper!
