Large Waterproof Bags?

Does anyone know where to get larger waterproof containers like they sell at Dick's for your cell phone? I have discovered an area that I want to photograph, but the shot can only be taken from the water. I want to try to hand-hold my Crown Graphic, but since I suffer from CDS (coordination deficiency syndrome) and generally dunk my canoe at least once on every trip, I don't want to see my Crown floating down the river like my wife's cell phone did last weekend. (Thank you, Dicks for the cell phone bag!)

You may also want to get another canoe. I have yet to flip one in over 20 years of use. Some are more stable than others.

REI has packs and bags for whitw-water rafting . . .good place tp look. I'd also try Gander Mountain and Bass Proshop. Pelican has a line called "Storm Case" that sounds good.

Another guess might be SCUBA gear (I'm really just guessing on this one). They might have a housing you can adapt for your camera that will let you actually shoot from the water.

I envision something with a heavy plastic bag and a moulded-in glove. A Grafmatic would help too. A Fotoman rig might simplify things further.

Whatever you do in the end, please let us know, and post an image or two!

Look for a Sea Line dry bag. They're inexpensive and worth their weight in gold when traveling in or around water... and much lighter than hard Pelican cases. If you find your Crown floating down the river, it will be fine as long as it's in the sealed bag.
MSR owns them, and has top notch support for their products.

if you'll be hand-holding the shot, could you use some sort of floaty/pool tube-type thing to stabilize yourself? Some of them even have nets on them, so you lay things on them while you swim/get wet...

the other option would be get a PELICAN case. Waterproof, and they float too (as long as they're not too heavy)
