Cool! Actually cold, you can tell from the Chicago freight elevator and the way the person is dressed, the bodies are here in Chicago.
And screw it, I finally see a use for Instagram.

Just don't get too excited yet folks. I think this project is still, depending on Xcentric's schedule, at least two or three months from starting to fill backers orders. Of course the end product is now much more refined and better engineered than the original Kickstarter proposal. It will be well worth the wait.

Hah!
So, how many parts in total, six? Receiving the bodies is certainly a big step forward.

I know that I'm an old fart and all, but the language that Justin used is just unprofessional. I will buy one, but cursing imho is not necessary. Can not wait for mine

Actually, I came up with the idea for doing focus work on MF folders, as I was dismantling the front cell focusing cells to get the old hardened lubricants out. Upon reassembly, I needed to set 3 or 4 target points and check focus with a ground glass, to match up the marks on the front cell to actual distances using the ground glass.
I found that cutting a 6X9 CM piece of plastic from a semiclear plastic bowl (often tupperware) made an ideal, easily cut, ready made matt surface for a ground glass.
I was able to get quite critical focus on old folders using the front cell focusing methods. I would tape the plastic piece to the film rails with the back open and put it on a tripod.
Worked out quite well, putting the matt side of the plastic against the film rails to be "on plane".
In line with the creation of a new subforum for Kickstarter announcements, I've yet again moved this thread to a more appropriate spot.

So looking forward to when those too-late-to-kickstart can order

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!
