    Cards/Postcards

I have been asked to submit some postcards to a local museum for them to sell in their giftshop with a 50/50 split in price. Of course all of the up-front $$$ to get them made will also be up to me, so essentially I am getting less of a cut than the museum will.

I honestly do view this as something I'd like to do, financial benefits notwithstanding, so I'm looking for a good, reputable place to get some nice cards and postcards made.

Anyone have good experiences (or bad) they'd like to share? Anyone to recommend?

This would all be work from my Great Salt Lake project printed in duotone or tritone if the price would be right.

    Thanks!

I've always seen nice work from Modern Postcard too ... until they flopped a transparency I sent them for postcards. It was a real bear getting them to reprint them.

In November I had a batch done by modernpostcard, and it was fantastic. I sent them a pdf of both sides and they went to work. They do accept less print-ready submissions too.

I've had one postcard from the batch sitting on a south facing windowsill with a piece of heavy slate covering part of the image to observe fading. No detectable fading in 2+ months of sun.

We are currently coming back from our furthest from the sun. Check the results as the date gets closer to late June, when we are at our closest proximity to the sun.
